Scientists Have (Potentially) Discovered the Chemical that Triggers MS

Scientists are said to have made a major breakthrough as they have found the chemical that enhances the symptoms of multiple sclerosis.

The chemical known as granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor is an immune system which is part of the body’s defense against the disease.

According to two studies done by scientists from the University of Zurich and those from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, eliminating excess GM-CSF could help counter the deteriorating effects of MS and further relapses.

Caroline, you are doin a great job for MS patients. thank you though I just found you on internet. Wanted to share something regarding Tysabri and PML. I am taking this drug as soul not with any combination. I am doin great had a child during this period. again continued after the delivery. its been 6 years now I am doin great, with Tysabri. the only msg here is its “all patients are different and they respond differently with all medicines”. We cannot blame the dug or PML. anyways will be here regularly now.

Thank you so much for your comment, Daniya! I’m so glad you are doing well on Tysabri. I tried it briefly and it did not work as well for me. That said, it is VERY efficacious for some people and that is just fantastic. Cheers!
